Fall Harvest Festival November
4th |
The annual Fall Harvest Festival will be held on
Sunday, November 4, from 11am to 4pm on portions of Main Street and
Evergreen Road. The New Egypt Main Street Organization has planned the Festival
to coincide with the Fireman's Annual Fried Oyster & Chicken Salad Dinner
to maximize attendance for both events, as well as, benefit local businesses.
Main Street's Fall Festival will provide family fun and entertainment for all
ages with no admission fee and all rides for children are free.
In addition to arts and craft vendor displays, there will
be a preview of the Township's first winery and vineyard farm, Laurita Winery,
that is scheduled to open to the public in the Spring. Laurita Winery will
provide a free wine tasting at the Festival from the grapes grown and harvested
on Plumsted's first grape vineyard farm. The outdoor exposition venue also
includes Eastern Mountain Sporting Goods; fishing/canoe clinics from the
Township's future and newest waterfront parksite on Evergreen Road.
For more information on the Fall Harvest Festival, please
contact the Main Street Executive Director, Peter Ylvisaker, at the 31 Main
Street Welcome Center, 609-758-7539. The Main Street Organization has planned
this years' Fall Harvest event to be a Street Festival by directing traffic off
and around the closed portion of Main Street (from Church Street to Brindletown
Road). The closed portion of Evergreen Road for Fall Harvest Festival Events is
from Fort Ave. to Main Street. Traffic will be directed down North Main Street,
onto Church Street, Front Street and Brindletown Road to access the open
portion of Main Street and across the Main Street Bridge. For exact times of

endorse and support the passage of a State-wide Bond Question on the ballot
entitled, "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2007."
To date, Plumsted Township has preserved more than 3,000 acres of farm and
woodland from development with approximately another 1,000 acres pending to be
permanently preserved. The Township Committee has obtained millions of dollars
