Spend the
night wherever you choose to celebrate. So, you think impaired driving isn't a
big deal? You're wrong- dead wrong. Driving under the influence of drugs or
alcohol is a serious crime. |

If you are arrested for
driving under the influence in Plumsted Township you could face the following
penalties:
- Your car can be impounded for at least 12 hours,
- You may loose your driving license from 6 months
to 10 years or longer depending on the offense and vehicle,
- You can spend hundreds of dollars in municipal
court fines and costs,
- You can spend thousands more in surcharges to
the State,
- Your car insurance rates (already one of the
highest in the nation) may increase,
- Don't forget Attorney Fees,

Drunk driving is no accident. It's a

or mass transit or the Plumsted Police Department will provide you a ride to
jail.

Township Police Department, wants you to know that the Police are out in force
on the holidays conducting patrols to arrest impaired drivers and to make our
streets and highways safer for all of us.
