Jack Trotta Appointed to Township Committee

At a special public meeting on July 15th, the Plumsted Township Committee appointed Jack A. Trotta to fill a vacancy on the five member Committee due to June 18th resignation of Michael McCue. Under the State's public office vacancy law, Committeeman Trotta's name will appear on this year's November 2nd General Election ballot for election to the Township Committee to complete the two year unexpired term of Mike McCue, who resigned to devote his time as Chairman of Plumsted's Municipal Utilities Authority.
Jack Trotta is a licensed independent representative with Primerica, a National financial services company. Committeeman Trotta is also employed in the business private sector with experience in purchasing and management. Locally, Mr. Trotta has served as a member and trustee of the Plumsted Business and Merchants Association since 2005; a member and co-chair of the New Egypt Area "Relay for Life" events to raise money for the American Cancer Society; member of the Church of Assumption Parish Council; and Kinghts of Columbus, Council 10900.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of Township Committee members Eric Sorchik, Steve Reed, Jack Trotta and Deputy Mayor Dave Leutwyler is the first Wednesday of each month (August 4) at 8 pm.
