Free Home Repairs Program Offered

Free exterior home repairs for low income homeowners in Plumsted Township will be one of numerous programs and services to be offered when the Township Committee formally endorses, at its’ March 3rd public meeting, a partnership with Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, based in Toms River, Ocean County.

Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, using the principles of Habitat For Humanity International, is a non-profit Christian housing ministry organization that embraces people of all faiths working in partnership with low-income households to improve their homes, as well as, to build decent, affordable housing.

Repairs include, but are not limited to, painting, landscaping and other minor repairs. The home repairs are directed by trained crew leaders and completed by Habitat For Humanity Volunteers.

Homes will be selected throughout the year and are based upon family circumstances, condition of the home and financial qualification. For more information, Plumsted Township residents may call the Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity offices at 732-818-9500 or visit their website at WWW.NOHFH.COM.
