Township Committee Meeting February 3, 2010
From destructive pest to constructive things Plumsted Township Committee meetings always have interesting developments. A presentation on a proposed partnership between Plumsted Township and the Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity Program was presented to the public and the Mayor and Township Committee on using Habitat for Humanity for free home repairs for low income homeowners. This is just one of the many programs the non-profit Christian housing ministry organization that embraces people of all faiths working in partnership with low income households to improve their homes, as well as, to build decent, affordable housing.

The Executive Director Ms. Suzan Fichtner presented details on how the partnership works and what they along with the Township hope to accomplish additionally Mr. Joseph R. Read their Construction manager also informed the audience on how they “get it done” with the help of volunteers and a brief incite into the project they have accomplished was presented by Ms. June Kreutzer a Board Member of Habitat.

After the presentation the Township Committee adopted a Resolution endorsing the program.
