Wrightstown officials welcomed back CouncilPresident Thomas Harper for another three year term on council along with fellow GOP member Brian Sperling during the council's January 4 reorganization meeting. Judge Gregory McCloskey administered the oath of office for both returning councilmembers who faced no opposition during the November election. Council President Harper was reappointed to serve another year as council president. His wife Karen held the bible for him during the ceremony. Likewise Councilman Brian Sperling was surrounded by family members including his wife Janet and his daughter Kaitlin who held the bible for him during the swearing in ceremony.

This marks Sperling's fifth three--year term on the council while Harper started his third term.

Larry Nixon began his 22nd year with the borough as Construction Official. Other familiar reappointments included Donna Snyder as Borough Clerk, Ellen Thorne as Deputy Clerk, Nicholas Costa as Borough Solicitor, Barbara Petren as Chief Financial Officer and Harold Griffin as Tax Collector.

Tadd Kowalzyk was appointed to the borough Municipal Utilities Board and the Joint Land Use Board which is chaired by Diane Wine.

Mayor Jozef Farago mentioned optimism as the borough heads into a new year with several new projects such as its industrial campus well under way. A party was held after the meeting at nearby Kelly's Tavern. Guests from North Hanover Township joined the festivities having visited the council session to observe the swearing in ceremonies.
