special meeting on tower By Bob Vosseller March 9, 2000
North (Hanover Town ship Mayor John Kocubinski announced Tuesday
that a special meeting on the "tower issue" would be held at the township hall
on March 15, at 7:30 p.m.
"This meeting concerns the county's 911 network tower and our
placement request for that Jacobstown tower," the mayor said. "Burlington
County representative Harold De- LaRio will be present at the meeting. The
committee will be reaching out to residents with this follow up meeting."
The mayor said that the point which the committee wishes to make
is for the tower to be utilized to its fullest so that arrangements can be made
with outside companies to attach dishes and other items to the tower to bring
additional revenue into the township.
Mayor Kocubinski reported that the township's Zoning Board had
approved Sprint's application to put dishes at a tower on New Egypt Cookstown
Road. "We'd like to see the tower utilized to its fullest. It can mean a lot of
additional revenue for the Township." |
