Plumsted Township's budget hearing

Plumsted Township's year 2000 municipal budget hearing will be
held on March 13, at 8 p.m. at the township hall.
In a summary of revenues, this year's spending plan features an
anticipated surplus of $931,394 in comparision to 1999's figure of $1,096,700.
Total miscellaneous revenue is $1,695,280.25 compared to 1999 which was
$1,513,970.11
Receipts from delinquent taxes for the year is anticipated at
$100,000 which is the same as 1999.
Local tax for municipal purposes comes in at $447,583.56. In
1999 that figure was $407,348.97 This is the total amount to be raised for
support of the municipal budget.
The total general revenues is anticipated at $3,174,257.81. In
1999 that figure was $3,118,019.08.
Operating expenses for salaries and wages are $912,468.69 with
other expenses coming to $928,410.08.
Capital improvements are $778,204.
The reserve for uncollected taxes is $446,117.54 which is up
from last year's figure of $427,111.78.
